Most Houston weddings happen on a Saturday, and Saturday carries a five hour minimum. That one fact decides more of your transport budget than the hourly rate does, so it is worth understanding before you call anyone for a quote.
Below is what a wedding party bus actually costs in Houston, how to size one to your bridal party, and how many hours you genuinely need once you map it against your day. Prices here are ours and they are the same ones on our Houston party bus price guide.
Count the people who are actually riding, not the wedding party on paper. Bridesmaids and groomsmen usually ride, plus a photographer, sometimes a coordinator, and often a parent or two. Couples routinely under count by three or four, then discover on the day that someone is following in their own car in a dress.
Book one size up from your headcount. A bus at full capacity with everyone in formalwear, holding bouquets, is tighter than the number suggests.
| Riders | Vehicle | Rate | Saturday 5 hour minimum |
|---|---|---|---|
| 8 to 13 | Sprinter Lounge | $90 per hour | $450 |
| 14 to 20 | LoungeS | $100 per hour | $500 |
| 21 to 23 | LoungeX | $110 per hour | $550 |
| 24 to 28 | Lounge Plus+ | $120 per hour | $600 |
| 29 to 32 | Lounge XL | $130 per hour | $650 |
| 33 to 50 | Mega Lounge | $140 per hour | $700 |
Those totals are the party bus prices for the rental only. Add 15 to 20 percent gratuity, and check whether it is already on your invoice so you do not tip twice. You can see the whole Houston party bus rental fleet on our fleet page.
Couples tend to book transport around the ceremony and then run over. Map the real day instead. A typical Houston wedding runs something like this:
Five hours covers a ceremony and reception at two nearby Houston venues. If your photos are downtown and your reception is out toward Katy or The Woodlands, you want six or seven. Adding an hour when you book is cheaper than adding it at 10pm, and it means nobody is rushing your photographer.
If the bus is only moving the wedding party between two points and then leaving, say so when you call. We can quote a shorter transfer instead of a full evening.
For most Houston bridal parties the honest range is $450 to $700 for the bus, before gratuity. A party of eighteen on a Saturday in the LoungeS at $100 per hour hits the five hour minimum at $500, which is about $28 per person.
Two things move that number. Size is the main one, because a bigger bus costs more per hour. Date is the other, and it matters more for weddings than most people expect, because wedding season and prom season collide.
Compare the all in total rather than the hourly rate when you shop around. A low advertised hourly rate with fuel surcharges, service fees and automatic gratuity stacked on top can land 30 to 40 percent above where it looked. Ours includes the chauffeur, fuel, ice and cups, with no fuel surcharge added later.
Book your Houston wedding transport as soon as your venue is locked. Six to eight weeks out is the practical floor for a Saturday, and if you are marrying in peak season you want longer, because the largest buses go first and there are only so many of them in the city.
Dates that price above base:
A Friday or Sunday wedding drops you to a four hour minimum instead of five, and mid week drops to three. If your date has any flexibility, moving off Saturday is the single biggest saving available on transport.
Every booking with us includes a licensed, background checked chauffeur, fuel, ice and cups, LED lighting and a premium sound system with Bluetooth. What you should confirm with anyone you call, including us:
Pay your deposit by card rather than cash app or wire, so a chargeback is possible if a company does not show.
For most bridal parties, $450 to $700 for the bus before gratuity. Saturday carries a five hour minimum, so a fourteen to twenty passenger LoungeS at $100 per hour comes to $500. Larger buses and peak dates cost more, and a Friday, Sunday or mid week wedding costs less because the minimum is shorter.
Five hours covers a ceremony and reception at two nearby venues, which is also the Saturday minimum. Book six or seven if your photos are downtown and your reception is further out, such as Katy or The Woodlands. Adding an hour when you book is cheaper than paying overtime at the end of the night.
As soon as your venue is confirmed. Six to eight weeks is the practical floor for a Saturday, and longer in April, May and October, because those Saturdays collide with prom season and peak wedding season and the largest buses book out first.
Count everyone actually riding, including the photographer and any parents, then book one size up. Our Sprinter Lounge seats 8 to 13, the LoungeS 14 to 20, the LoungeX 21 to 23, the Lounge Plus+ 24 to 28, the Lounge XL 29 to 32 and the Mega Lounge 33 to 50.
Yes, 15 to 20 percent of the pre tax total is standard, so $90 to $120 on a $600 booking. Check your invoice first, because many companies add gratuity automatically and you can easily end up tipping twice. Cash at the end of the night reaches the chauffeur directly.
Yes, and that is how most weddings run. The chauffeur stays with the vehicle while you are inside. It counts as booked time, so include it when you work out how many hours you need.
Tell us your date, your headcount and your two venues, and we will send back an all in total with no surprises attached to it.
