The court is what decides the bus. Once you know how many damas and chambelanes are riding, plus the immediate family, the rest of the booking follows from that number. Most quinceañeras land on a Saturday, which carries a five hour minimum.

Below is how to size a bus to your corte de honor, what the day usually costs, and how the timing works between the Mass, photos and the salón. The rates are ours and match our Houston party bus price guide.

Sizing the bus to your court

Court sizes vary a lot. The traditional corte de honor is built around fourteen, one for each year before turning fifteen, though families interpret that differently. Some have fourteen damas and fourteen chambelanes, some have seven couples making fourteen court members, and plenty of modern courts are smaller at four to seven couples. All of it is normal.

What matters for transport is simple: count everyone actually riding. That is the court, the quinceañera, and usually parents, padrinos and a photographer. Families routinely under count because they think of the court only, then find an aunt and two cousins waiting outside on the day.

RidersVehicleRateSaturday 5 hour minimum
8 to 13Sprinter Lounge$90 per hour$450
14 to 20LoungeS$100 per hour$500
21 to 23LoungeX$110 per hour$550
24 to 28Lounge Plus+$120 per hour$600
29 to 32Lounge XL$130 per hour$650
33 to 50Mega Lounge$140 per hour$700

A full fourteen couple court plus family runs past thirty riders, which puts you in the Lounge XL or the Mega Lounge. A seven couple court with parents usually fits the LoungeX or Lounge Plus+. Every party bus rental option is on our fleet page.

What it costs

For most quinceañeras the bus lands between $450 and $700 before gratuity, driven mostly by size. Add 15 to 20 percent for the chauffeur, and check the invoice first because some companies add it automatically and families end up tipping twice.

Compare all in totals, not hourly rates. A low hourly rate with fuel surcharges and service fees stacked on can finish 30 to 40 percent higher than it looked. Ours includes the chauffeur, fuel, ice and cups, and we do not add a fuel surcharge afterwards.

Dresses are the practical reason to size up. A formal gown takes considerably more room than the seat count suggests, and a court in full dress fills a bus faster than the capacity number implies.

Mass, photos and the salón

Most quinceañeras follow the same shape, and five hours usually covers it:

  • Home to the church. The court often travels together so everyone arrives at once and in order.
  • The Mass. The bus waits. That waiting is booked time, and it is the part families most often forget to count.
  • Photos. Between the church and the salón. This runs long more often than not, and it is worth building in the extra time rather than rushing the photographer.
  • Arrival at the salón. For a lot of families this is the moment the bus is really for, the whole court arriving together before the entrance and the vals.

If the church and the salón are far apart, or photos are downtown while the reception is out toward Katy, Pasadena or Pearland, book six hours rather than five. Overtime at the end of the night always costs more than the hour would have cost at booking.

When to book

Book as soon as the salón and the church are confirmed. Six to eight weeks ahead for a Saturday is the practical floor, and longer if your date falls in spring, because April and May Saturdays collide with prom season and peak wedding season. The largest buses go first and there are a limited number of them in Houston.

A Friday or Sunday celebration drops the minimum from five hours to four, and mid week drops it to three. If the date has any flexibility at all, that is the single biggest saving available.

What to confirm before you pay

  • The all in total, in writing, before any deposit.
  • Whether gratuity is already included on the invoice.
  • Proof of insurance and licensing. Ask. A rate far below everyone else usually means something has been skipped.
  • Which exact vehicle is coming, not just a size category.
  • The overtime rate if the reception runs late.

Pay the deposit by card rather than cash app or wire, so you have a chargeback if a company does not turn up.

Quinceañera questions

How much does a quinceañera party bus cost in Houston?

Most quinceañeras land between $450 and $700 for the bus before gratuity, driven mainly by size. Saturday carries a five hour minimum, so a court and family of about eighteen in the LoungeS at $100 per hour comes to $500. Add 15 to 20 percent for the chauffeur.

What size party bus do I need for my court?

Count everyone riding, which is the court, the quinceañera, and usually parents, padrinos and a photographer, then book one size up because gowns take more room than the seat count suggests. A full fourteen couple court plus family runs past thirty riders and needs the Lounge XL or Mega Lounge. A seven couple court with parents usually fits the LoungeX or Lounge Plus+.

Can the bus wait during the Mass?

Yes, and that is how most quinceañeras run. The chauffeur stays with the vehicle while you are inside the church. It counts as booked time, so include it when working out your hours.

How many hours should I book?

Five hours covers home to church, the Mass, photos and arrival at the salón, and five is also the Saturday minimum. Book six if the church and salón are far apart or if photos are downtown while the reception is further out.

How far in advance should I book?

As soon as the church and salón are confirmed. Six to eight weeks is the practical floor for a Saturday, and longer in April and May because those Saturdays collide with prom and peak wedding season and the largest buses book out first.

Do you tip the chauffeur at a quinceañera?

Yes, 15 to 20 percent of the pre tax total is standard, so $90 to $120 on a $600 booking. Check the invoice first, because many companies add gratuity automatically and families can easily end up paying it twice.
