There is also METRORail. The Red Line’s Convention District stop is about a five minute walk from the home plate entrance, which genuinely works well for a couple of people coming from along the line. It works less well for a group of twenty carrying anything.
Baseball has a long home schedule, most of it on weeknights, and a weeknight booking carries our three hour minimum rather than the five you pay on a Saturday.

If your group wants to carry on afterwards, Midtown and Washington Avenue are both short runs from the ballpark.
